Duncan Garner is one of New Zealand's most experienced and straight-talking broadcasters. With more than 25 years in media — political editor for Three, host of The AM Show, Drive on Radio Live and now The Duncan Garner Podcast: Editor in Chief — he brings sharp analysis, fearless interviewing and a no-nonsense Kiwi voice to the stage.


Who is Duncan Garner? Duncan started at TVNZ in the mid-1990s as a political reporter for Paul Holmes after a degree in communications from AUT. He joined TV3 in 2003, became its political editor in 2007, broke some of the country's biggest political stories — including the Tamihere golden handshake and the 2008 National Party cocktail party tapes — and was named Television Journalist of the Year in 2007. He hosted The AM Show from 2017 to 2021, before launching his independent podcast. He has also written for Stuff and the New Zealand Listener.
