Who is Jehan Casinader? Jehan began his journalism career at 13, persuading TVNZ to give him a camera crew for his first story. Over two decades he covered natural disasters, terror attacks, elections and sporting triumphs across the region. He was named Reporter of the Year at the New Zealand Television Awards and Broadcast Reporter of the Year at the Voyager Media Awards. A Kiwi-born Sri Lankan, he is also a survivor of depression and suicidality and a leading voice in New Zealand on mental health.
