Neil Waka, a seasoned television presenter, spent over two decades in the media industry.

As one of the first Maori individuals to break into mainstream television news presenting, he led many firsts in New Zealand. Neil left his prosperous television career to transition into the corporate world, holding key roles such as Head of Corporate Affairs at General Motors Holden NZ and Coca-Cola Amatil NZ & Fiji.

Neil's background also includes a significant sports career, being a former Kickboxing champion, and a representative in Rugby Union, Rugby League, and Basketball. He has also run marathons, competed in triathlons, and undertaken various physical challenges, demonstrating his continuous drive for self-improvement.

An ardent philanthropist, Neil has raised significant funds for charities, particularly those targeting Child Abuse and Domestic Violence. He lives his life by the principles of Integrity, Honesty, and Kindness, and places people at the forefront in business and life.

Outside his professional and family life, Neil is passionate about environmental causes and community work, advocating for sustainable practices, littering prevention, and enhanced opportunities for lower socio-economic communities. He has also been a long-time advocate for the rights of the Rainbow community.
