Paul Henry is one of New Zealand's most familiar and longest-serving broadcasters — host of TVNZ's Breakfast for six years, the cross-platform Paul Henry show on Three, the AM Show's first-season blueprint, and more recently The Traitors NZ and The Chase NZ. Twice an award-nominated host with a Bronze at the 2024 New York Festivals (Best Host) and a bestselling memoirist, he brings 40 years of broadcasting, opinion and showmanship to the stage.
Who is Paul Henry? Born in Auckland in 1960 and raised partly in Bristol, Paul started his career at 15 in radio at BBC Radio Bristol before returning to NZ in his late teens. He ran his own commercial radio station, presented Every Second Counts and This Is Your Life, hosted TVNZ Breakfast (2004–2010), Radio Live Drive, Network Ten's Australian Breakfast (2012), the Paul Henry show on Three (2015–2016), Rebuilding Paradise (2020), The Traitors NZ (2023–2024) and currently The Chase NZ. He sits on the TVNZ board, and his autobiography What Was I Thinking? was a NZ bestseller.
